R E Q U I R E M E N T S

PLATFORM

Following platforms are supported by Rhesus:

OS X

Only 64bit binaries are provided for OS X, and the minimum OS X version supported is OS X 10.9.

Windows

Windows 7 and later are supported, older operating systems are not supported (and do not work).

Both x86 and amd64 (x64) binaries are provided for Windows. Please note, the ARM version of Windows is not supported for now.

I N S T A L L A T I O N

MAC

How do I install Rhesus on a Mac computer?

  1. Create and verify your user account (free) at http://app.rhesus.io
  2. Log in to your dashboard and download the MAC DMG file from the "Download" option
  3. Open the DMG file that you downloaded and drag the "Rhesus" application into your "Applications" folder.
  4. Open your Applications folder and then open Rhesus. TIP: You can press CMD+Space on any MAC to open a quick-search field, and then type Rhesus. You should see the Rhesus application appear in a dropdown where you may open it or drag it to your taskbar for quicker access in the future.
  5. After Rhesus opens for the first time, click the "Help" menu at the top of the monitor and choose "Account Settings". Enter the e-mail and password you used to sign up in step 1.

Other Steps

  1. If you are using RFID with Rhesus, in order to quickly scan and find readers on your network(s), you need to first download and install NMAP, a freely available network utility from http://nmap.org.

WINDOWS

  1. Create and verify your user account (free) at http://app.rhesus.io
  2. Log into your dashboard and download the Win32 or Win64 file from the "Download" option. Make sure to download the version that corresponds to your platform's architecture. In most cases, you'll want the 64-bit version. If you grab the wrong one, it will not run.
  3. Open the executable file that you downloaded and follow the on-screen instructions
  4. After Rhesus opens for the first time, click the "Help" menu at the top of the monitor and choose "Account Settings". Enter the e-mail and password you used to sign up in step 1.
